A very nice twist on old western saloon music.
5/5, 9/10
Author's Response:
Interesting, I never thought of this a an old western style of song. But everyone hears things and is affected by the music differently, so I won't argue with you by any means. ;-)
Thanks for the review.

A nice trance-like loopable song. Would be great to just play in the background on a loop and walk away and do something else.
5/5, 10/10
Author's Response:
Yea, I agree. It is a nice background sort of song. Glad you liked it. :-)

Great piano melody with a easy but powerful beat behind it. The violin sounding instrument thing (?) also fits with everything nicely.

Author's Response:
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. The vins were primarily written by Ledge, but I did some minor editing to them throughout the song. The piano though, that is all me. :-)
Thanks for the review.

If a whole song was to the beat that started at :40 I'd 5 start it. Great melody there. The soft piano after that transitioned well. The electronic beats that started at 1:32 were catchy and precise. Nicely done there. Once again, the beat at 2:52 is amazing. Simply loved it!!!!!! The fade out was probably the best to any song I've ever heard. Ever. And that includes all Newground songs and actual bands that are well-known. You blokes did a smashing job with this one.... simply smashing!!!

Haha! Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it so much, especially the ending. I really like the ending as well. :-)

From 1:50 to 2:03 was my favorite. That solo was great. The reast of the song seems be from some 2-d side-scrolling video game. Great melody overall.
5/5, 9/10
Author's Response:
Thanks man. This is probably one of, if not the favorite among my songs; at least for me anyways. :-P
So it is nice to see other people, such as yourself, enjoying it as well.
Thanks for the review.

Idk about you but I hear that Gravey guy sucks.... (j/k, I've been reviewing his stuff for ever).
A nice melo-dramatic piece with emphasis on piano. Nothing I dislike about this piece really. The only advice I have is change up song speed and possibly bring in another instrument for a bit here and there to break up the piano's center-ness.
5/5, 9/10
Author's Response:
Thanks. We thought about adding another instrument, but I didn't want it to become cluttered. I want more of a softer gentler tone than what Gravey typically goes for. So we tried to keep this toned down for the most part.

Like someone else said, this could easily be an RPG soundtrack. And in that sense it's good. However, overall it's not varied enough for me, but that's just me b/c I like a ton of variation to a song or just a super solid unique sound.
4/5, 9/10
Author's Response:
Its not varied enough for you? I'm not sure what more you want when it comes to variation. Lol!
Seriously, there are at least twice as many different instruments in this song than any other I've been a part of before. The range of instrument types is rather phenominal, going from oscillators to orchestra instruments. And no section actually repeats itself twice exactly. There is something different in ever single section. Even when the song repeats sections there is something added to give it a new flavor.
I even had EQ and reverb automations going on so the atmosphere changed throughout the entire song. Thy weren't extreme changes, but they are definitely noticeable if you listen really carefully.
I honestly have no idea how Ledge and I could have varied the sound anymore if we wanted to. Lol!
Thanks for the review.

"Smooth like gravey! (new catch phrase!)"
Best part was the electronic horn(?) solo type thing @ 1:25. No complaints on this piece. Fairly solid overall. Nicely done! Smooth like Gravey (name pun!).
5/5, 9/10
Author's Response:
Haha! Not exactly a horn. :-P But I'm glad you really enjoyed that section. It is my favorite as well.

One of your better pieces. It's a great listen. I enjoy the epic/modern combination of styles along with the mostly classical instruments choice. Very nicely done.
9/10, 5/5
Author's Response:
I agree completely that this is one of my better pieces. I think the Rhodes piano gives it that classy touch that I was looking for in this song. :-)
